Portage la Prairie?s presentation of the Manitoba Hydro Power Smart Island of Lights, Manitoba?s premier light show, is back again for it?s 8th year! Running from November 17, 2006- to January 7, 2007 and open from 6:00 pm- 10 pm every night including Christmas and New Years Eve.

Located on Island Park in the City of Portage la Prairie, the Manitoba Hydro Power Smart Island of Lights, presented by A-Channel is an impressive national award winning drive-through holiday light show that has attracted attention in the entire province of Manitoba. From the comfort of your vehicle, you can watch many of the dazzling light displays come to life through the magic of animation. The show features many theme areas and more than 500 light displays. This is a must see destination! Over 120,000 people have witnessed the show first-hand! There are over 130,000 bulbs. You have to see it to believe it!
