(电影知识)绝配男女 Perfect Opposites review by Christopher Null
Love is rough -- especially when it has to go down in Los Angeles. Sigh... the L.A. rom-com, here we go again.
In this rendition on what has become one of cinema's most tried andoverdone we get Martin Henderson (The Ring) and Piper Perabo (CoyoteUgly) as just-outta-college midwesterners who come to Hollywood to makeit big in the land of broken dreams. But young love is hard to makelast in Hollywood, especially when you have kooky neighbors likeJennifer Tilly (who talks about her breasts throughout the film) andArtie Lange.
That's really all there is to this movie, as it quickly reveals it'snothing more than another rant about how bad the traffic in L.A. is andhow phony its residents can be. Perabo and Henderson have no chemistrytogether. Both look (rightly) like they're trying to save their careersfrom completely plummeting into nonexistance. Unsurprisingly, thispiece of art comes to us from Matt Cooper, who wrote a stage play uponwhich this film was based. Try to envision the pretentious monologuesit must contain, and you'll probably start begging for more of itsfiller instead.
